The Red Shoe Society is a young professionals group dedicated to supporting the mission of RMHC. The Mission of RMHC is a welcoming home away from home for families with children facing medical challenges, providing an atmosphere of comfort, hope and courage.
Red Shoe Society members raise awareness and funds for the house through a variety of social and volunteer activities and strive to create a fun and welcoming environment where emerging community leaders can network and share their philanthropic interests.
Fundraising and Awareness:
Red Shoe Society (RSS) members plan several fundraisers throughout the year. We planned "The Emerald City"After Party for A McNight to Remember in OZ held on November 3rd and will be hosting the After Party once again for A McNight to Remember in Neverland on November 2, 2013. Red Shoe Society also demonstrated their fundraising prowess by organizing a team for the first annual Amazing Raise Walk held on December 1, 2012. RSS was the second-highest fundraising team to participate in the event.
Connecting with Families/Volunteering:
The members gather regularly throughout the year to cook and serve dinner to families staying at the House. These meals provide great support to the families and give The Red Shoe Society members a unique opportunity to interact and connect with the families who stay at RMHC.
All members are encouraged to take an active role in the organization, which includes participation in as many dinners and Red Shoe Society events as possible. In addition, all new members are encouraged to take a tour of the House.
