Remember Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix in your will and trusts
Planned giving is vital to the long-term future of Ronald McDonald House. By remembering our House in your will or estate plans, you can help ensure that our “home away from home” will be here for generations to come. Through planned giving, you may be able to make a larger donation than you might have imagined – without sacrificing the security of your own family. There are many forms of planned gifts:
You can designate your gift for support of a specific program or service; have it honor a loved one; or designate it to our endowment fund.
If you would like to help ensure the future of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix, contact the Development Director, Jerry Diaz, at 602-798-5088.
Send a donation in Honor or in Memory of a loved one. The Ronald McDonald House sends acknowledgements both to the donor and individual/family for which the tribute/memorial gift was made. The card specifies the occasion and names the donor but does not disclose the amount of the gift.
Parents staying at the House have many worries, not only about their child’s health, but also about the financial responsibilities associated with a serious illness. You can make a difference by participating in our Share-A-Night project by sponsoring a room for a night, a week, a month, or even a year. While families are asked to contribute a nominal fee of $10 per night, no one has ever been turned away because of financial hardships. Your gift will help ensure all families continue to find a home away from home at Ronald McDonald House of Phoenix when they face the challenge of caring for an ill or injured child.
Under the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit Law (ARS43-1088), you can receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit on your state income taxes, up to $400 for married couples filing jointly or $200 for taxpayers filing as single or head of household.
This tax credit is available to donors who make contributions to qualifying charities, such as Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix, Inc., that provide assistance to the working poor. The working poor tax credit is a separate credit from the school tax credit. Eligible taxpayers may claim both the working poor and school tax credits. Please contact your tax advisor for information regarding eligibility. Those who donate to Ronald McDonald House will receive a thank you letter, which can be used for tax documentation.
