A caring heart and helping hands knows no age! That’s why we like to engage young people in projects that benefit the families staying with us. Click below for some ideas geared to the energies and the imaginations of kids! Whether picking a project from the Kids Can Help Too! List or collecting aluminum pop tabs, tours can be scheduled for your young people at the completion of their project. Call Kathy Anderson at 602-798-5093 for more information.
- Collect Small Personal Care Items like tooth brushes, hand soap and lotion. Decorate brown lunch bags, and then put the items into the bags. Voila! I Care Kits! Take them to Ronald McDonald House.
- Have a Bake Sale or Car Wash. Use the money you raise to purchase large containers of laundry powder. Scoop enough powder into a sandwich bag for one load of laundry. Ronald McDonald House families appreciate your help!
- Have a Penny War! Talk to your teacher and have classrooms compete to collect the most change. The winner gets a Popsicle party and Ronald McDonald House gets the winnings!
- Organize a Food Drive for Ronald’s pantry. Think about the foods that kids like best! Popular items include cereal, soup and canned luncheon meats, canned fruit and individual juices, microwave macaroni & cheese, and anything else you especially enjoy at home. Choose your favorites!
Call 602-798-5093 for more information or to discuss you own ideas! Your participation in our mission is sincerely appreciated!
